Great Strides is an international fundraising event that takes place in hundreds of locations world-wide to aid Cystic Fibrosis Associations. In Australia the event is partnered by national real estate company L.J. Hooker.
The Great Strides day itself is a lot of fun. The walk is not strenuous and the emphasis is on walking at your own pace – it’s not a race! Great Strides is orientated towards all ages from young children through to energetic octogenarians. Whilst the actual event and event date differs slightly between States, the emphasis is always on enjoyment during and after the walk. Celebrity appearances, sausage sizzles, entertainment and post-event massages are all part of the after walk festivities.
