The new Bargara location worked wonders with over 50 walkers taking part in the 2009 Great Strides Walkathon along the boardwalk to Moneys Lagoon. Our thanks to all who participated and Jonathon, Lee and team at LJ Hooker Bundaberg for their hard work in making this event a great success.
2009 Walk Details!
LJ Hooker Bundaberg is excited to be once again hosting the Great Strides Walkathon. This year the location has been changed to the scenic Bargara. Please join in the fun and raise awareness of cystic fibrosis and much needed funds for Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.
Where: Nielsen Beach, Bargara
When: Sunday, 20 September 2009
Starts: Registration from 9:30am. Walk starts 10:00am.
Route: Along beach/boardwalk to Moneys Lagoon and return
Distance: 4.5km
Walkers are welcome to stop an enjoy a coffee or browse the open shops on the Bargara beachfront before heading back to Nielsen Beach. After event activities include BBQ, raffle and prizes.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, a hat and sunscreen!
One lucky Early Bird entrant in Queensland will receive a Spinifex ‘Fraser’ 12 man tent with 4 Spinifex Bribie camping chairs valued at over $650.00 donated by Anaconda Kawana Waters. Please note Early Bird registrations for the Bundaberg walk close on 16 September so register now to be eligible for this fantastic prize.
