The date has been set for the 2010 Great Strides Walkathon in Queensland.

2009 Great Strides Walkathon.
The 2009 Great Strides Walkathon was a HUGE success with nearly 1800 walkers participating in the twelve walks across the State.
After counting and re-counting it is official that Port Douglas has hosted the biggest walk for the second year running. Well done Kylie and team!
Other successful walks were held in Brisbane at both St Lucia and North Lakes, Bundaberg, Gold Coast, Gladstone, Hervey Bay, Mackay, Mooloolaba, Toowoomba,Townsville and the Whitsundays. Click on the relevant link to get a wrap up of each walk and view some photos taken on the day.
As the numbers of participants suggests 2009 has been one of the most successful Great Strides yet. Our sincere thanks to our hosting LJ Hooker offices, Prime Radio, Anaconda, all the participants, our volunteers and our wonderful fundraisers for your support along with the many businesses that donated goods and time to make this event such a success.
Our thanks also to LJ Hooker Rockhampton who were not able to host a walk this year but held a Great Strides raffle instead.

Our lucky Early Bird winner is Paul Wynne who participated at the St Lucia Walk. Paul will receive a Spinifex ‘Fraser’ 12 man tent with 4 Spinifex Bribie camping chairs valued at over $650.00 donated by Anaconda Kawana Waters.
