LJ Hooker Whitsunday promised another great event and boy did they deliver. Over 100 walkers participated and enjoyed all that Airlie Beach has to offer. Thanks to everyone at LJ Hooker and to everyone who has supported this event over the past few years - we are truly grateful!
2009 Event Details!
LJ Hooker Whitsunday has hosted successful Great Strides Walkathons for the past two years. This year will be no different with the same location and route chosen as previous years - after all why change a winning formula? Participants will once again enjoy the magnificent Airlie Beach scenery whilst raising awareness and much need funds for Cystic Fibrosis Queensland.
Where: LJ Hooker Whitsunday, Suite 1, Pavilion Arcade, 287 Shute Harbour Rd, Airlie Beach.
When: Sunday, 13 September 2009
Time: 8.30 am Registrations, 9.00 am Walk
Route: Along the Boardwalk to the Volunteer Marine Rescue and back.
Distance: 5km
Car Parking: Parking is available at the central pay and display car park next to the Lagoon, or free parking at the open car park near the Sailing Club.
Toilets: Toilet facilities are available at the Lagoon.
After Event Activities:
After the walk stay for a fun filled day including a sausage sizzle, cold drinks, Pass the footie competition, jumping castle and face painting.
